2006-09-12 [Skydancer]: Yep, it is spun from optic spider silks so that the laser light is diverted and spread out over the entire surface, makes it disapate harmlessly. Depending on what you can afford, we have folk here on ET and on DA that do costumes, very good ones and at quite reasonable prices too.

2006-09-12 [Skydancer]: Oh sure, I am having a wizards hat, a cloak and an HP professors robes done. I made arrangements to send them payments and when they get the amount agreed upon they make it. Lets me stretch out my budget and gets me the things I want for my work.

She is doing my hat, but she also does full outfits and from experience has very good prices. Tell her Skydancer sent you to get a quote, it might not get you a better price, but then you never know. Referals often get special treatment.. chuckle..
